Management And Membership
Management Of NAJ
- The charity is managed by an Executive Committee which consists of a team of Trustees appointed from the two branches
- The Executive Committee gives strategic direction and develops strategies and policies through consultation with its members
- To enable the smooth running of the charity, the activities of the branches and the general management of the charity are monitored by the executive committee who initiates corrective measures as necessary

Membership
You do not have to be a Jamaican or a nurse to join. However you are expected to be committed to NAJ’s aims and objectives.
Benefits Of Membership
- Support advice and guidance
- Advocacy in relation to educational, professional, personal and work related issues
- Sharing of knowledge and expertise
- A small grant is available to members to assist with attendance at courses, conference and to carryout projects
- Provide a platform for social liaison and friendship
Cost Of Membership
An annual subscription of £20 will give members voting rights.
Composition Of NAJ (UK)
There are two established branches situated in Birmingham, London each with a local focus. And plans an annual programme of activities.
Meetings
The Executive Committee meets quarterly rotating between Birmingham, London Members can attend these meetings as observers.
The Branches have monthly meetings. London branch meets every fourth Saturday at 4pm.
The Birmingham branch meets every third Saturday at 5pm.
Annual General Meetings are held in May each year in rotation in Birmingham and London. All members, friends, supporters and invited guests can attend.
